Re: need grub to boot logical partition

success! on reviewing http://www.goodells.net/multiboot/ i realized that i'd
forgotten to change the "hidden sectors" value of bootsector in the xp pro
partition from the default of 63 for logical partitions to the actual
absolute sector number of the boot sector. once i did that, grub booted the
xp logical partition no problem.
i agree that a second hard drive would be a good idea. however, i like to
keep a slot open in case i need to install a second hard drive over and
above the primary one in case circumstances require this (eg. i need to scan
install a customer's drive to scan it for viruses). plus i like the
challenge of loading up one hard drive with OS's. all a second hard drive
would do for me anyway is give me more primary partitions which it seems is
the only thing that grub can boot. btw, the grub.conf i gave originally
works fine.
