Hi all:
I want to try installing Linux on an older compaq machine that used to
run windows 98. I can make a clean install, from scratch (don't have to
worry about saving anything on the computer) and use this machine to try
out and learn how to use Linux. I am a COMPLETE beginner with Linux.
Is there something I can download with installation instructions. Or is
there a commercial release that's better? I went to CompUsa to see
which commercial Linux products they had, and they sold Red Hat and Suse
9.0.
Can someone recommend the easiest way for me to get up and going or
point me to an appropriate website? I'm not a programmer.
TIA
Michael
