Treo 600 as a linux wireless modem.

    I'm currently using ##tethered (phone command) to initiate a usb
    connection to my Laptop running Mandrake 10 (2.6.3 distro kernel) Through
    this connection I can initiate a PPP connection to my phone and can
    successfully get an internet connection on my linux box this way.

    My problem is that my connnection dies whenever I start downloading
    anything. I'm not really sure how I can troubleshoot this farther, but I
    know I don't have a problem synching my treo under linux, and I don't have
    a problem using the treo as a wireless modem under windows using pdanet.

    Does anyone have some hints to how I could start troubleshooting what is
    going on?
