Does anyone here know of a portable (i.e. live-CD) distro that has a
graphical desktop and debugging capabilities, and nothing else? Most
portable distros i have found have unnecessary crap like games on
them, or didn't have everything i needed. Heres what im looking for:
Disk Partitioning and formatting capability:
partition types: NTFS, ext2/3, reiser, FAT16, FAT32, reiser, and any
partition
type that is otherwise commonly used on MacOS, Linux, or Windoze.
Graphical Desktop:
KDE or GNOME preferrably, if there is something lower-impact, I'd be
willing to
use it.
USB device interface:
I have noticed on some Distros (especially Mandrake) that my USB card
does not
work. for the sake of backup, i will need to be able to interface
with USB flash
drives and input devices
network capability
SMB and NFS only. worst case scenario: i have to back up my stuff on
the
network
CD/DVD Burning capability
Not wanted:
Office Tools, Internet Browser, games, audio/video players, etc.
Does Anyone here know where i can find something like that? if so,
please give me a link to where it may be downloaded.
