Greetings,

Puzzling development. I did apt-get dist-upgrade today and afterward
my printer would not work and the number pad on my keyboard quit
functioning as well. I am running Debian Sid kernel 2.6.3 and KDE
3.2.2. During the upgrade process cupsys did not upgrade due to unmet
dependencies with libcupsys2-gnutls10.
When I tried to install libcupsys2-gnutls10 apt reported that it would
remove practically all applications in KDE so I aborted the install.

Very strange. Is anyone else facing these difficulties? This is a
system that was clean installed on a brand new Intel P4 CPU/Intel 865
motherboard combination a month ago with absolutely no problems until
now.

I ran through base-config and dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xfree86 on the
outside chance that this would fix the problem. The keyboard works
fine in the console but fails after Xserver starts up.

Thanks for any and all assistance.

Gail
