This is a short report on how to install the blackbox window manager
on a system running linux Fedora Core.
-download blackbox-0.65.0.tar.gz from blackboxwm.sourgeforge.net
-cd into blackbox-0.65.0
-type ./configure
-file src/Window.cc needs an additional "#include <cassert>" line at
the beginning
-run "make" a number of times (more than 10) until no warnings are
generated
-run "make install"
-add a file name "blackbox.desktop" in your /usr/share/xsessions, with
the following contents:
[Desktop Entry]
Encoding=UTF-8
Type=XSession
Exec=blackbox
TryExec=blackbox
Name=BlackBox
Comment=BlackBox Window Manager.
That's it.
To modify the menu, edit file /usr/local/share/blackbox/menu.
Greetings
