Sometime this evening, a folder called .sheep appeared in my home
folder, containing the files gen165 (empty), id (the word 'none') and
lock (empty). I only noticed this when pon and kppp both failed to
connect to the internet. My modem seemed fine, and an AT&F did nothing
to help, so I went searching for unusual stuff in my home folder that
might stop this. When I deleted .sheep, the problem went away.
Is this a virus or something? If so, will it keep happening, or was it
just a one off?
Thanks, Paul.
