Looking for a Live CD with ...

Is there a Live CD available that has a cheat option like
"monitor=SyncMaster3Ne"? It getting near impossible to figure out
which combination of video settings will work for this monitor on each
of the various video chip sets in the stack of old computers I am
testing. The boot process should be able to figure it out by combining
the data from the video chips it finds with the monitor type I give
it. It might even allow me to trash this last Windows box, finally.
