Whether it's Windowzzz or Linux or whatever OS, you have to choose your
vendors carefully. Check-out their warranties, websites, whether
their address and phone number are openly published.
Give them a detailed explanation of your problem.
I've had the opposite experience. Most hardware vendors who
provide Linux compatable equipment are aware of the purposes of Open
Source and are favorable to supporting it and its advocates.
If you are a troll, you will fail here.
