Yes, that's what I meant to say. I want pictures to show up in-line and
without intervention.

I found that both Wine and Crossover are seriously flawed and will only run
those Windows apps which I do not need. Like I really need to run IE or
OE? I gave both a try and then blew them away. I really wanted to run
"MyInvoices" which is a simple invoicing program for Windows, but Wine
balked, as did xOver. So I exported all of my account info to a comma
delimited file and brought the data back under a spread ***. Not the
best solution but it keeps track of who owes whom.
There are some really seamless apps which work without a problem one
installed and I give all the credit to the developers. The xine gui, for
instance, runs rings around the partially broken Kaffeine. AbiWord is much
less complicated and runs quietly without the dictionary crashes which
plague OO. For an ordinary letter writer, AbiWord is all I need and has
enuff sophistication so that when I do get fancy it works fine.
What is impressive is that once I set a device icon for my digital camera on
the desktop, access to my Fuji A101 elCheapo digital camera is quick and
easy. Just like opening a folder (which is what it is, of course).
Now if there were a way to globally rename jpg files on the camera before
transfer to the HD.
I could continue but you get the picture, I am sure.
Cheers,
Dave
