That depends on whether the ntfs read/write module is enabled. I think (but
may be mistaken) that ntfs access is read only by default. Last time I
looked it was necessary to recompile to enable read/write.

I have to assume your linux partition is ext2. If you don't know then type
cat /etc/fstab where you'll get a list of all the filesystems with their
types. If you have any questions about this see if you can paste the
results into here. Also where did you copy the files to on the Linux
system? What is the path?

Assuming your filesystem is ext2 you can download a driver for Windows at
http://sourceforge.net/projects/ext2fsd although I have never had reason to
try it to know how effective it is.
