    I have now reached runlevel 3 - in failsafe condition

    The screen says:

    "Welcome to SuSE Linux 9.2 (i586) - Kernel 2.6.8-24-bigsmp (tty1)
    linux login:    "

    But when I enter a user-/root-ID, I get no password-prompt - the above
    display simply re-generates

    Any hints??
