As no one else so far has replied: I found that the default Suse
menu.lst file includes something like "swap=reload" as option and I
had problems to boot into different versions of Suse because of that.
I removed the option and it was OK thereafter. I used Knoppix to
be able to access and modify the menu.lst file (as the normal boot
did not work anymore). Indeed, you do not need to "lilo" with grub,
just modifiy the menu.lst file.
