Re: Upgrade Fedora Core 3 to Fedora Core 5 Help please

we have recently upgraded our system (network proxy server) from Fedora 3 to
Fedora 5.
At the beginning everything seems to work smoothly. But, soon we found a
critical
change that breaks our program: The write(sktFd, buf, len) function
returned -1 in Core 3, but
0 in Core 5 if the parameter len is -1. This change looks like to me that
someone has
simply changed to traffic light color "yellow" to "blue".

We could quickly fix this problem in our code. But,
if any third party programs has this kind of problem we will be out of luck.

So, I would be cautious with the upgrade, especially if you have many
not-so-carefully developed ( or over smart ) programs.
