Did you check the MD5SUMs to make sure your disk is correct? The table of
MD5SUM values is located in the same directory where you downloaded the
ISO. Do a Google search for an MD5SUM program to run against the ISO image.
To get a bootable CD you need to create a CD-ROM directly from the ISO.
Extracting the files first and then burning them to a CD-ROM will not
create a bootable CD-ROM as far as I know. The method to do this varies
with CD burning software. Which are you using?
