problems on Acer laptop: modem, fonts, audio

Hi everybody,

I've installed RH 9A on palmtop Acer 720TX.
I've partioned the disk in such a way that pre-existing Win98 could
stay yet. After installation, that worked fine, I've got some issues
in my Linux.

1. It can not locate the modem (an internal one, Lucent Win Modem)
2. fonts on the screen (1024x768) are not clear, they are quite
     'fuzzy' instead.
3. It can not locate the audio card (NeoMagic MagicMedia 256AV Audio
     and NeoMagic MagicWave 3DX Sound System)

Anyone experienced something similar ?
Any hints or suggestions will be appreciated, thanks in advance.
