Maybe don't do a straight boot to it; does XP have the old 'restart
computer
in dos mode' option that win9x had? Then you could {loadlin, syslinux, I
forget
which} launch a kernel & big ramdisk or something to get it up and running
on
the linux usb drivers. Really hairy trick though, worthy of NASA in the
glory days.
Might be easier to just set up another computer on a lan to serve up a net
boot.
