Hello:
on my redHAt 8.0, Firebird with RealPlayer works just fine.

On RedHat 9.0 I have not been able to use the Real Player 8.0:
I did copy "rpnp.so" in the firebird "plugins" directory, and it
seems ignored (the RealPlayer is not activated when I click on a
Realaudio file: .ram).

I have read somewhere that this is due to the fact that the
player and the browser have been compiled with different versions of
GCC (2.x and 3.x).

Well that could be, but does someone has a solution?
Is the source of the Linux RealPlayer available "somewhere" on the
net?

Thanks.
  Linuxuser.

ps: Seems to have the same problem with the flash plugin!
