Hi There,
I'm new with linux and redhat. With windows I'm more then just a user...
I installed redhat 9 and everything went fine.
But after reboot I get a blue and green screen with only YES and NO option.
It tries some things, but he doesn't want to boot up in the graphical mode
(tekst mode works)
The installation recognizes my video card (S3 trio64UV+)
It does the same with another S3 card, so it isn't broken
In the last part of the installation I have choosen several resolutions (I
installed several times to get this option!) and even in the 640x480 8bit
mode it doesn't work. I even tryed different monitors.
I think this has something to do with refresh rate. How can I change this?
I assume I have to edit the XFree86 file?
who can help?
thnx Pieter
