I had RealPlayer 8 working under RH 8 but have the same issue under RH 9. My
solution was not very elegant but somewhat functional. I recently installed
realone on my debian box and that seems to work OK so I tried the same on
RH9. The install fails but you can still execute it and it works as long as
you don't try to double the playback size of a video while it is playing.
Realone isn't available as an RPM though so just choose the non RPM libc6
version and down the bottom of the download page there is an option to get
realone. Then just extract and run the shell script to install. Get it from
http://www.real.com/freeplayer/?rppr=rnwk
If you really want an rpm check out checkinstall

All the best David
