Surely the following has been mentioned many times on the net:
red hat doesn't support all modern types of CD drives, at least not for
installation. For example, if you have only a SCSI drive, which is not of
one of the very few supported models, you will need to plug in an IDE CD in
order to accomplish the installation, or copy the contents of the CD first.
