Because I did not know of rsync. I found a mirror site willing to host
rsync http://www.oss.eznetsols.org/ and it worked like a charm
Thank you John . You have saved me hours of work and taught me a new
command. Once I had found a site and Read The Friendly Manual it only
took a few minutes even on my slow connection.
