upgrade troubles

I am attempting to upgrade redhat 7.3 to redhat 9.
The upgrade goes fine at first, then right before the rpm start to install,
i get a signal 7, installation aborted, and the computer shutsdown.

Does anyone have a clue as to the cause ?

Your help will be appreciated.
