Install Wireless NIC in RH9 using RH8 driver?

I have a Trendnet 80211b NIC that only provides a RH8 driver, the
install script quits after checking RH version. I checked the list of
wireless devices and Trendnet is not listed, of course. Model in TEW-221PC.

Anybody know a way to use the RH8 driver in RH9? Would it even work?

I have an EM in to tech support to request a RH9 driver, but not
expecting much support.
