Hi Guys,
Sorry about the cross post but I am not sure where to post this.
I have been running on RH7.1 for 2 1/2 years ish now, I fancied a change and
liked some of the upgrades I was hearing about so I decided to completle
blank my HD and install RH9.
The only problem I have is that the first Disk will not boot, The CD is
capable of booting as when I insert the RH7.1 disk is boots fine.
I have made a boot floppy from the image that came on CD 1 but when I boot
using this and tell the PC that the install Directories are on the Local CD
it says it can not find the files "or something close"
I have tried pointing the setting up the pc so that it points to redhat.com
to redownload RH9 and install accross the network but still no luck.
I burned the iso using nero to burn from an image file
Any Ideas what I have / are doing wrong or is it so simple I am just been a
Numptie?
My Spec,
Compaq desktop pro 400mgh CPU, 62GB HD, 768MB RAM, 600kbs Cable modem
Cheers
Mark
