RedHat 8 Installation does not detect hard drives and cdrom

    Hi!

I got a little problem concerning the Installation of RedHat 8 on an Intel
Server Board S875WP1-E with Promise FastTrack S150 SX4 Serial ATA RAID
    Controller.
I got the drivers from the CDROM of the Mainboard (they are for Redat 8). If
I start the Installation without any options RedHat neither detects the
    CDROM nor the
S-ATA RAID that was configured. If I use "linux noprobe" then RedHat
detects either the CDROM and the HD, but needs the driver for the Promise
    Controller... and
the CDROM is classified as SCSI although it is an ATAPI CDROM on the Intel
Controller (no S-ATA, but P-ATA). So RedHat loads the driver, but doesn't
    mount the
CDROM - although this one works, either I wouldn't be able to boot from it
    ;)

Using the driver provided by Promise itself doesn't help anyway... same
    problem here.

    Anyone got any more ideas?
