Dean,
I have just recompiled a kernel to support some local power
options so I just went though the USB config. There are
options in the config for USB devices. You may have to
recompile the kernel to support a USB disk. (load the kernel
source RPM and dry run 'make xconfig' and look at the USB
parms.) This is now pretty straight forward and with the
../linux/Makefile extraversion parm very safe.
