I got a Fedora CD from Linux Expo in NYC and installed it over RH9.0 - and
it totally screwed my Linux.
All installation went smooth without any warnings. During the Fedora boot
I got many messages like:
modprobe: Can't locate module sound-service-0-0
modprobe: Can't locatemodule sound-slot-1
modprobe: Can't open dependencies file
/lib/modules/2.4.20-8/modules.dep (no such file or directory)
I lost access to my Win partitions.
When I try to mount a Win partition I am getting:
mount: fs type vfat not supported by kernel.
When I boot from emergency floppy - everything is OK - Fedora works fine.
When I posted message before it was suggested to reinstall the Kernel.
When I enter the command: "rpm -q kernel" - in both cases (boot from a
floppy and from HD) is says "kernel-2.4.22-1.2115.nptl".
Any ideas what happened?
Thanks,
Zalek
