As you said; I did this by using Partition Magic v. 8 to free up the 30GB
space that Linux had partitioned. (Also had to use FDisk to fix MBR to
boot Windows, again.
Freeing the space with Partition Magic v.8 was not the problem, using
FDisk to fix the MBR is the problem. You should boot into the Windows 2000
recovery console (from the CD) and use fixmbr ,the correct way to fix the
MBR for Windows 2000/XP.
