Redhat 9.0 and CD player without any sound!

Hi,
When I play a music cd there is no sound but otherwise it works fine. I
mean that I activate the sound for different action and it works fine
but not when a music cd is playing.
During installation of redhat and testing of sound deviced was successful.
What can be the problem and how can I fix it?
