I'm a newby to Linux, which I just installed for the first time.
I installed RH9 but it starts up in the text mode. Tried to upgrade
the install by installing EVERYTHING (over 4 gig)but it still starts
up in the text mode. I know that one of the grafical interfaces is
called KDE. I found that in one of the directories but all in that
directory is "KDM" Tried to run that, but nothing happens.
I noticed with the install that my grafics cards is not mentioned
(Gigabyte Radeon 9600xt)
Could this be the problem?? If so (or even if it is not the problem)
how do I install video drivers.
I'm absolutly new to Linux, but do have some DOS experience.
Any help - suggestions would be appreciated.

I could go back to windows, but would to give Linux a fair try.
Not much pleasure from it so far.
