Hello
I used pine to setup the smtp for sending mail from my independant linux
pc.
When i send mail to a @yahoo.com address i send successfully ! But when i
send it to a .edu address then the mail is not recieved by the person. I
think it might be due to my hostname : since the email server at the
recieving end might not recognise localhost.localdomain
How do i fix this? please explain to me as a newbie. to what do i set my
domain name and hostname ?
i am using yahoo dsl
my hostname is localhost.localdomain
my hosts file is
ee@localhost ee]# cat /etc/hosts
# Do not remove the following line, or various programs # that require
network functionality will fail. 127.0.0.1 localhost.localdomain
localhost
