All of the doco sez that you should install Windows first on a dual boot
system - then linux. I want to do it the other way.........
I have a (mature) RH9 server running on a big box with 1G mem and 1X120G HDD
and a 200G HDD. Linux is installed on hdb (200G) with the /boot partition
on hda.
Just bought a usb-based DVDRW and can't get it to work under linux.
(installs out of the box on an XP box).
Have some very big data files to back up (average 6+GB per month) - this
takes 2 days if I copy over LAN to windows box and then write to DVD on XP
box.
Would like to add an XP partition to big box and then use XP dual-boot to
run DVD-writer (SONY) each month.
Any tips on how to post-install windows XP on an existing RH9 box with free
partition space on hda. Doing from scratch not really an option as I have
abt 70G data that isn't backed up - and will take the best part of a month
to do if I do the transfer-to-XP-box-then-DVDwrite thing.
