Installing FC2 on Via EPIA M mini itx

Hi Guys,
I get the FC2 splash screen and then no matter what I enter (enter, linux
text) the system reboots, it seems to me that the boot image has some
incompatible instructions,
ie not strictly i386.

Any suggestions other wise I will have to move back to Windoze.
