FC2-Final package rollback

I upgraded the standard Fedora Core 2 Final using the package upgrader
(yum I think it is now) and it broke the gnome X11 sessions. Reading
the infor ont he web it has something to do with the X11 configuration
files but I'm not sure how to fix it. Does anyone know how to :

1. Set the default GUI to KDE? and

2. Rollback the packages to the install state?

when I list the rollbacks I get the following....

But I do not know how to use this information to restore the system to
its previous state
