The add/remove applications utility in FC2
won't do anything because of so-called
missing files. The files mentioned are
there; I can easily find them.
Is this a bug than can be worked around?
This is all related to my trying to get
rid of "autorun," which keeps partially
invoking when I fire up KDE. The "busy"
cursor will sit there for about a minute
at the beginning of KDE, then just vanish.
I was trying to deal with that by removing
autorun in add/remove applications.
I never did find out why autorun was
coming up in KDE to begin with (it doesn't
do it in Gnome), and the only hint I got
was when I managed to trace it to "kdeinit"
in the /usr/bin directory, which I cannot
edit.
Any help in these two, related matters
would be appreciated very much.
