Hi,
I have a PC with Red Hat 9,o installated. The kernel is 2.4.20-8
I compile a new kernel (2.4.20-8custom) and I added the following lines in
grub.conf:
title Red hat Linux (2.4.20-8custom)
root (hd0,1)
kernel /vmli-2.4.20-8custom ro root =LABEL/
initrd /initrd-2.4.20custom.img
but when the system starts and I chose the new kernel, I found the error :
VFS: Cannot open root device "LABEL=/" or oo:oo
Please append a correct "root" boot option
Kernel panic: VFS: Unable to mount root fs on 00:00
Where is the error ?
Please Help me.
Bye
