Hi all
I have recently upgraded an old computer to a gigabyte mobo (the 8knxp). I am having trouble getting RH9 to acknowledge that the onboard gigalan exists. I know that the driver is e1000, but when I insmod it I get this:

At boot the bios identifies the network device as vendor 8086 device 1019. Cat /proc/ioports gives this:
a000-afff : PCI Bus #02
a000-a01f : PCI device 8086:1019 (Intel Corp.)
So it clearly knows that it is there.
