I just wanted to share something I ran
across reading in the "known issues"
area of the mozilla.org site, wrt Mozilla
1.6 (may work for earlier/later versions
as well, I do not know).

It is so dramatic that I had to come
here and offer it, just in case some
who use FC2 and Mozilla haven't done it
yet:

If, when you're browsing, you have
noticed that after you click a link either
in your bookmarks or on a site, it just
sits there for several seconds, with
"resolving host" or something like that
in the statusbar, do this as root (exactly
as it says, quotation marks included):

echo "alias net-pf-10 off" >> /etc/modprobe.conf

Please note that I did this as root, and
not as su. I do not know if it would have
made a difference either way.

After hitting enter, exit the terminal and
(*gasp* just like Windows) reboot.

When I brought up Mozilla 1.6 and began
browsing around I noticed a quantum
improvement in speed. Enjoy!
