Which comp best for Linux?

Hi, all.
I'm thinking of replacing an older desktop computer.

Will any of the current or very recent Dell, Compaq, or other
off-the-rack models run Xandros or Red Hat right out of the box?

I thought of having a local shop make the new comp, but before I do
that, I'd like to see what else is available.
Thanks,
