Hello
I am trying to install Fedora Core 2 on a Shuttle Small Form Factor Computer
model FB61 but I didn't get very far. I succeeded in downloading the .iso
file for the first CD and burned it onto blank media but the Shuttle will
not boot from it.
I did set the CD drive to be the first boot device and the computer does
pause and try t boot from the CD before going on to boot from the harddrive.
I used Sonic RecordNow DX to burn the CD but I suspect that the CD is not
really in bootable format. RecordNow said it was burning an ISO format CD
and I can browse the CD on my WXP machine.
Is there a special trick to burning the FC2 boot CD's? Is there something I
can do to check the CD to see if it is in the correct format for booting?
I would really like to try Linux on this little machine but I'm too cheap to
just go out and buy the distribution.
Any advice is greatly appreciated.
Peter D.
