What is wrong with FC2?!

Hi there folks,

what is the matter with FC2? I´m having all kinds of strange problems.

I used to use:

# cdrecord dev=1,0,0 -blank disk, but that doesn´t work any longer.

(I did cdrecord (-)-scanbus)

I have to do:

# cdrecord dev=/dev/cdrom1 -blank disk (and that works)

I´m still experiencing loads of apps hanging after being launched
(printer-config-gui, Mozilla-1.6, OpenOffice, etc.) and 3D acceleration
for my nVidia is very slow (I compiled the latest nVidia driver).

What is wrong really?
