Hi there yall,
I downloaded RH Linux-9 .iso files from linuxiso.org, installed it
(dual-boot with Windows), and the installation went through OK; dual-boot
works fine, except that when I choose to load Linux, it does all its
diagnostics, which are also OK'd, but then apparently any signal from the OS
is lost, and my monitor pops up a message "vga mode not supported" and
that's the end of it - have to reboot.
My monitor is an LCD Proview, and during the post-install configuration I
chose it from the list. Well maybe not exactly. In the monitors list I just
chose the 1st model from the 3 that were in "Proview" subcategory. not sure
if that has anything to do with it though.
Should I have left it the way it was? that is, Generic something... ?
I'm gonna try and plug in another monitor, but i was just wondering if you
guys n gals knew how to solve this problem. Thanks!
