Hi,
I have windows 2000 installed in my PC. I
just installed the second 80GB HD. I'd like
to install Fedora Core 2 on the new HD. I
have the Fedora Bible, but it doesn't explain
enough about installing Linux on the second
drive.
1-I want to partition the new hard drive to
have one shared partition between the two
OSs, what partition type should I use to
share data files between Windows and Linux?
2-What can I do to make sure that Windows
2000 remains intact during Fedora
installation?
3-I want to reserve part of the new drive for
the future application ( like installing
Solaris) and the rest for Linux
(workstation). I want to make the partitions
bigger than the minimum required to have
enough room for the future
expansions/installations. My question is how
much space I should allocate to the following
Linux partitions:
\ (root)
\home
\var
\usr
\tmp
Thanks for your help.
