I have a hard drive already partitioned and already boot several linux
distros and windows. I have the 4 CD set of FC2 iso images.
When I boot with disk 1 the graphical boot screen loads with the boot
prompt.
If I hit continue the kernel image starts to load (or decompress ?) with a
series of dots and then all that happens is my system reboots.
I have tried the following boot options :-
linux noprobe
linux text noprobe
linux 1024x768 noprobe
All result in a kernel image decompressing as before and then a reboot.
Hardware is:-
Asus P4P800E- deluxe motherboard
Intel P4 2.8G with hyperthreading
512M corsair ram
Sparke geforce 5700 ultra
Maxtor 160G UDMA133 HDD
At first I thought it was to do with kernel 2.6 but I have install Mandrake
10 (with k 2.6.3) with no problems.
Any help or ideas appreciated .
Thanks in advance.
