Redhat 9.0 Removes Mouse on first Boot

The subject line pretty much sums up the problem. The mouse works fine
throughout the installation. When the installation is done and the system
reboots, I get a message saying that the system has removed the mouse
driver. There are several alternatives -- You can remove the driver
completely, leave it, or do nothing. Thus far I've tried "Leave it" and "Do
Nothing", with the same results -- the system starts up with no mouse
control. Any ideas as to what's going on, or how to remedy it would be
greatly appreciated.
