    Hello:
      my system is:
CPU = Athlon, with 512M RAM,
    motherboard = Asus AN78X Deluxe
    Cable modem Linksys, ethernet connection.
    Dual boot system.
Video Card = Nvidia 5200 FX based.

    ---
I just upgraded my system frpm FC2 to FC3.
    Overall it went well.
I used all the default options as detected by the Anaconda installer.
It took about two hours to upgrade all my packages (many).
I got a successfull completion message, and no error.
To my pleasure almost everything seems to work (ethernet internet
    connection). ---
But the system reinstalled (semi-automatic) the NVIDIA graphic card,
      properly detected.
The video driver does not have 3D graphics, so OPENGL, some games do not
    work properly.
Downloaded the latest Nvidia driver (1.0-6629) from he Nvidia web site.
Installation of this Nvidia driver was unsucessfull...
But FC3 reinstalled the default driver (with its limits).
This is a pity, Mandrake and Suse have resolved this issue a while ago.
Hope this is fixed one day: Nvidia works well but Linux Installs are almost
    always painfull, a shame.
    ---
    Other issues:
Synaptic: I needed to create a few directories manually for Synaptic to
    work.
Synaptic detected a few broken packages (qtparted, Xine), I removed
them: I should reinstall them with appropriate RPM's later.
    ---
Downloaded and installed Firefox 1.0, also released today: went smoothly,
    works fine.
    ---
"updatedb" still does not work, (this problem appeared with FC2 kernel
    2.6.???).
Problem is still the same: sloc database stop growing at 12 kbytes.
Unless I am mistaking this is a kernel issue. (a bit annoying).
    ---
    Conclusion:
I have not tested everything yet, but overall the upgrade went well.
A pity the popular Nvidia video driver is not better supported.
Time: It took about 2 hrs to upgrade all my (many) packages.
    ---
This was a first assessment, I probably will be more specific in a week or
    so.
     Enjoy.
