FC3: Looks still like a release candidate. You may want to wait a bit to delete your FC2, or older.

Hello:
I have been a RedHAt user for a long time (7, 9, FC2,...).
Most distributions of RH, have been a major progress from the previous, and
quite stable.
And yes there are some very good improvements, among them KDE 3, is again a
big enhancement, with lots of neat featues, graphics always nicer.
Also device drivers problems for NVIDIA video card seem... unresolved at
this time.
I had several crashes after FC2 which was "rock solid".
Many of theses issues seem kernel related, but it may be other bugs.
I have no question that theses issues are going to be resolved, but it may
take some time.
Also Red-Hat has "in the pipe" Red Hat Linux entreprise (RHLE:still Beta),
which seem to be derived from Fedora Core 3.
So if you want a "good stable Fedora" (or RHLE), it may be a good idea to
wait until most of the issues are resolved. and also possibly Open-Office 2
be released.
For the time, I see FC3 still as a Beta status, good to get a feeling of all
the "goodies" there, a bit to early for every day use.
Ideally, you have some room on another partition, or another disk, and keep
your "old Red Hat", or FC2 on your disk, for a little while.
If you have GRUB, or even Lilo, this is quite easy to do.
Hope I did not look tto much as a "joy spoiler"...
