FC3: install from scratch rather than update is stable: no more crashes.

Hello:
  I reinstalled FC3, this time a fresh install (not an update), using the
xfs file system, on a reformatted partition.
The system seems now very stable (no more crashes!), but of course there are
still issues, mostly (so far) fixable with manual intervention.

Conclusion: for FC3, if you get an unstable system (crashes), bite the
bullet, backup everything you may need (ideally on CD) and reinstall FC3,
fresh install.
