No problem. This works for nx7110 which probably has the same display.

0) go to run level 3: "init 3"
1) run system-config-display and select a display size of 1280x800 and
   if that is not available then select something larger than 1024x768
   (eg 1152x864)
2) edit /etc/X11/xorg.conf and change the display resolution you selected
   in step 1 into "1280x800" (that should be in Section Screen
   / Subsection Display / Depth 24)
3) go back to run level 5: "init 5"
4) enjoy

That worked for me.
